This DVD is exactly what I wanted. I do not have access to quality yoga classes in my area, so the DVD is my regular yoga workshop. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to extend their practise.

I purchased this DVD specifically because of Natasha Rizopoulos and Jason Crandell, who I admire and who I believe to be among the highest caliber yoga instructors today. What I love about this DVD is that you don't have to be a master-level yogini to accomplish the poses. It helps to have a few years of consistent, patient yoga practice behind you, but it isn't entirely necessary. So far, I have carefully followed only the Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel Pose) sequence because I was curious if she would teach this pose as a drop-back from a standing position, as pictured on the DVD's cover. I can do a drop back into a backbend, but I wanted more openness and less sacral compression. Apparently, she teaches us to lift up into Wheel not from a standing position, but from lying on the floor, yet every bodily adjustment detail is explained clearly and is easy to follow within the several preparatory poses that open the shoulder and hips for Wheel Pose. I was not able to place my entire shin against the wall in King Pigeon, but I knew that, with a little time and patience, it would be within my reach. That is why I recommend this DVD - because the sequences leading up to the master poses, as well as the instruction, are perfectly tailored for them, safe, and provide a great practice on their own merit.

I really enjoyed this DVD because although there is one advanced pose each of the routines works up to it explains a number of asanas in great detail which will help get into the more advanced pose. If you are bored with your regular yoga practice this will help to keep things fresh and at the same time you won't be compromising how far you've already come along.
